Today Maui will be sunny with highs in the 80’s!
The Realtors Association of Maui (RAM) has released the January 2015 sales statistics and so starts a new year of data gathering. As I’ve done in the past I will present each month’s data with you. There will be two sets of numbers to include the three main categories of sales: residential, condo and vacant land.
The first set of numbers shows how many units were sold in each category. The second set of numbers shows the median sales price for each category. Each set of data compare the total numbers for sales made for the months we are able to compare. I’ll list both this year’s data as well as the data for the same months for 2014.
I’d like to stress that the numbers below are for just January. This short look will only show us the data for sales that happened in January 2015 and January 2014. The small sample of data really doesn't reflect much compared to what we will be able to see as the year goes by.
According to RAM there is an increase in inventory for both residential and condos. Additionally, the amount of foreclosures and REO’s has declined. You can read the full report on the link provided.
