Owners Exemption Info

If I helped you purchase property this year and you are living in that property please remember to file a home owner’s exemption no later than December 31^st.  

You have one week from today to file.  

When the new tax year comes around in July you will receive owner occupant rates for your property tax here.  The exemption must be filed this year to receive the benefits. 

Please notify me right away if you need a form and I’ll get it to you immediately.

Today Maui will be sunny and breezy with highs in the 80’s!

The November sales statistics were just released from The Realtors Association of Maui (RAM). Each month I’ve brought you the number of sales and the median sales price for each of the three main categories; residential, condo and vacant land.  The first set of numbers listed below will show you how many units were sold in each category.  The second set of numbers shows the median sales price for each category.  Each set of data compare the total numbers for sales made from January through November and we are comparing 2014 vs. 2013.   

Similar to last month, the data reflects a decrease in the numbers of unit sales.  This decrease is seen in each category.  However the median sales price has continued to rise in each category. 

The Maui News had a great article full of lots of statistics that I wanted to share with you.  This article highlights that Central Maui has lower prices and more inventory over other locations on the island.  This makes it one of the hottest markets on Maui.
